WHY SHOP SECOND HAND?

For starters, it's to do your part and look damn good while doing so.

The volume of clothing that the U.S. throws away each year has doubled in the last 20 years, from 7 million to 14 million tons. According to the World Resources Institute, it takes 2,700 liters of water to make one cotton shirt and textiles can take up to 200+ years to decompose in landfills.

Moreover, many people may be shocked to learn that 84% of clothing ends up in landfills or incinerators. In New York City alone, more than 400 million pounds of clothes are wasted each year! 

With these numbers in mind, I made it my mission to change things up a bit. On my Poshmark Boutique, all of the clothing you buy is second hand and the Society 6 artwork posted below is to remind you about how beautiful our earth is. I know we aren't saving the world here, but I think this is a damn good start.
